How to NEVER miss out on sleep again:
Getting sleep is important, but with all the technology and caffeine we have today, proper sleeping can become difficult.
You feel tired, can’t focus properly, and so on.
And we need to improve on that.
So here’s how you can get better sleep:
The first solution is eliminating electronic devices before AND during bed.
Let me explain:
Sleeping with any type of electronic device close to you can be difficult. Not only that, but you may also find it tempting, as you might want to start scrolling on social media, giving you that shot of dopamine and waking you up.
I would recommend eliminating the phone at least 1 hour before bed and then putting the phone away from your bed.
You can even put it on airplane mode or mute so you don’t get random notifications throughout the night.
Now the second solution is going to bed earlier.
This simple change can positively affect your sleep quality.
Do you usually go to bed at 11 pm? Try 10 pm. The key here is to try to go to sleep one hour earlier than you normally do.
You’ll have to play around with your schedule a bit, as you will have one hour 'less' in your day, but you’ll get some good sleep in return which you can then use to get work done more efficiently.
Win-Win situation.
Last but not least, the third solution would be a wind-down routine.
Having a wind-down routine can be useful.
For some people, stretching before bed can signal to their brain that they’re about to go to sleep.
It doesn’t have to be stretching specifically, but just find YOUR version of “stretching.”
A wind-down routine is something that you’ll have to condition your mind to, but over a couple of days, maybe a week, you’ll have successfully conditioned your mind to sleep whenever you do that wind-down routine.
Remember, rest hard & work hard you got it!
That’s a wrap for this week!
