This should be your number one priority...

You’re number one priority as an entrepreneur who just got into the entrepreneurial game should be to survive

See, there’s a good reason why the graveyard of failed entrepreneurs is so big, with billions of people who didn’t make it.

And we’re gonna talk about this today.

Every entrepreneur starts off with a shot clock.

And a shot-clock is (in this context)  = How much money you have in the bank.

If you’ve got $60K, that’s gonna help you last 10 months of expenses, or maybe 8 months of expenses, etc.

It depends on how much you’ve got in your bank for your shot clock.

For example in basketball, there are 24 seconds, and in football, there are 35 seconds.

And if you don’t use this time diligently to make your business survive, you will be out of business going back to getting a job because you didn’t use this time properly.

And let’s break something down.

There are two things that everybody must focus on as an entrepreneur.

First is - Front end

The other one is - Back end

Front end is getting customers, and back end is things like systems, support, etc.

And oftentimes people come through and say that they wanna be efficient in the back end, they want to make the best systems out there, etc.

An important thing to keep in mind is that efficiency is kind of irrelevant when you’re a rookie entrepreneur.

Think about it this way.

Imagine you sent your child to a boxing coach so he can learn how to defend himself.

What is the first thing a boxing coach would teach him?

Footwork, jab, and cross.

The basics of boxing.

And these are front-end things.

Then, once you get the front-end things down, you move onto the back-end, such as learning head movement, and other types of punches.

The same goes for business.

You wanna learn the basics, the things that are keeping your business alive.

Things such as adding potential customers to your list, getting more customers to buy, doing upsells to current customers, and asking for referrals.

Then you can start learning about back-end things and how to create better systems.

See, while these things seem very obvious, 99% of “entrepreneurs” fail because they miss them.

So with the new knowledge, go out there and crush it.

That’s a wrap for this week!
