- Parenthood in business?
Parenthood in business?
Have you ever thought about how taking care of a business is like taking care of kids?
Think about it!
For the first 0-6 months, you’re very busy.
You don’t get much sleep, and you learn as much as you can on the go.
You try to figure out how to be a good leader (a parent) and you worry about money.
All of your focus is simply on this growing business (child), so you have almost zero time for yourself.
In the next 6-12 months, you’ve finally gotten a routine down.
You’re more sure about what you’re doing, and at the same time, you’re juggling other aspects of life.
Not only that, but you’re starting to see the positives.
After 12-36 months, you’re learning to:
Lead others on basic tasks
Learn patience and empathy
Delegate certain aspects
And you’ve got more stability with your finances, routines, and so on!!
And 5-10 years later, you’re raising leaders, and you’re able to get away from the business (the kids) without worrying as much as when they were younger, and the business develops (kids grow into their own people).
See how this really puts things into perspective?
Keep consistent in your work, and you will eventually succeed!
