Practice makes perfect... does it really?

We’ve all heard the saying “Practice makes perfect”, right?

However, one should not completely agree with this saying as it is not 100% true.

Let me give you an example:

Let’s imagine that you’ve never done boxing in your life.

And you were to start training at home, and you’re trying to learn how to box.

You put in lots of daily effort, you sweat, and you feel exhausted every after a workout.

Yet, it feels like you’re stuck, like you’ve hit a wall, and you’re not improving.

You think about the effort you’re putting in, without much to show for it, but then you suddenly decide to join a boxing gym.

After joining the nearest boxing gym and training for just a week, you notice how your punches become more powerful and energy-efficient.

Why did this happen?

Was it because you trained hard?

Well, it can’t just be “training hard”, because you trained hard before going to the boxing gym.

It's because you trained hard AND also got feedback.

Feedback from the boxing coach.

The boxing coach might’ve noticed some flaws in your punching technique, made a few tweaks, and by that, you improved a ton.

So, what’s the lesson here:

The lesson here is, to work hard, and do your best to get feedback so that you know what you can improve.

Try to apply this to your current situation whether it is relationships, your business, or other things, and watch the improvements happen in real time.

That’s a wrap for this week!
